I am URGENTLY looking for an experienced Database Administrator and Developer to join my rapidly growing retail client.
The role will involve working on their database systems which include SQL Server 2008 (Web System), Oracle 10g (ERP System), and a heritage MySQL database with static data.
The role will have 2 main tasks:
1. Advise and implement the creation of a quick short term reporting solution using Data Cubes, Crystal Reports, or a similar tool.
2. Creation of a longer term solution which will include getting the data warehouse set up including the use of SSIS and ETL on both Oracle 10g and SQL Server 2008 platforms
In addition to this candidates will be required to set up the schemas to target reporting functions and gather requirements from users in order to implement the correct reports from the system.
As such candidates MUST be able to display:
* Strong experience with SQL development within SQL Server, Oracle 10g, and MySQL including database design and ETL
* Strong reporting experience with tools such as Data Cubes, Crystal Reports, or SSRS
Candidates who can display experience with requirement gathering will be given priority for this role.
