I am currently looking to fill a VB/COM Development position within a leading Investment Banking client of mine.
The role will involve the implementation and enhancement of credit risk systems across the global infrastructure. This role will involve dealing with Risk Management's platforms for hedge fund credit risk (VaR).
The successful applicant will work with Business Analysts and IT staff to help design and deliver software solutions to fulfil business requirements. In addition, the role will involve participating in the delivery and implementation of solutions.
This is a truly challenging role which requires full software development lifecycle experience including design, analysis, and development skills to ensure delivery at the highest level.
Candidates will be required to demonstrate:
* Excellent Visual Basic development experience
* Knowledge of COM/COM+
* Strong SQL development experience (ideally SQL Server 2005)
* Source Control Systems (Clearcase, Perforce etc)
* Excellent communication skills
Candidate should also be able to display as many of the following skills as possible:
* Development within a mature n-tier system
* Credit/Market Risk knowledge
* SSIS
